JRU Pep Squad Stuns NCAA in a Championship Performance

In the 5th NCAA-Samsung Cheerleading Competition, before a roaring crowd at the Araneta Coliseum, The JRU Pep Squad scored an almost perfect execution and choreography with a score of 198.8 points to best the other NCAA squads, including three-peat leader University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. from fifth place last year, the Rizalian 30-man Pep Squad headed by their Squad Captain Rockford Auguis and Coach Ramon Christopher, snatched the crown, the P80,000.00 cash prize and Samsung MP3 players for all members of the squad.

The Gold and blue crowd was in a euphoria after bagging the championship with a near flawless routine, dazzling acrobatics and urban grooves in sync with today's hottest music. Their high rise pyramid and emphasis on a triangle sign pointing to heaven, supposedly seeking God's guidance was the key in the four-minute routine. the routine was perfected in a gruesome two month undertaking.
